Asra Syed is a well-known Fashion Designer based in Mumbai. She launched her fashion label ‘ASRA’ in the year 2018. Since then, ASRA has been setting trends in the fashion and styling industry with their unusual ideas and creative outfits.

DESIGN AND CREATIVITY

Design and creativity were always a part of Asra since her childhood and she always had a penchant for expressing her innate style.

At one point, Asra dressed up as a carefree teenage girl but as she grew, she became experimental with her outfits. While pursuing her degree in Fashion Designing, Asra had a strong conviction about her fashion choices and hence became interested in textiles. She always had an eye for the intricate details and embroidery works.

THE STORY BEHIND THE BRAND

Intrigued by design and fashion is what sparked the idea which lead to ASRA’s sheer existence. Asra evolved this small idea into a journey by creating a luxurious fashion brand specialising in women’s exclusive couture and mesmerising bridal collections.

Initially, she started with just one master, two kaarigars and one embroidery man, which lead her to mostly cater to family and friends. Soon, the word spread and they started getting bulk orders. To match the demand, Asra expanded her team, shifted to a big warehouse and set up a store. With time, they collaborated with many models, bloggers and magazines to broaden their horizon. From a humble beginning of two people, the fashion brand ASRA is a team of more than 35 team members and counting.

Asra also showcased her collection “Robe De Reine” at the Bombay Times Fashion Week that was held in October 2021.

Gradually the brand gained more recognition and is considered as one of the fastest rising fashion label, today.
